Bob started taking pictures when he was 13, worked at a local AM radio station WKER, Pompton Lakes, NJ
and filed his first radio news report at 17.

A Vietnam era veteran and radioman in the U.S. Navy (1967-1971) Bob served at the Naval Communications Station, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, on board the President’s flagship U.S.S. Wright CC-2 and during NATO operations in the North Atlantic aboard the U.S.S. Plymouth Rock, LSD-29.

Maintenance engineer at WPTZ Plattsburgh, NY
Bob received an honorable discharge form the NAVY and attended ATS Technical Institute in New York City. Upon completion of Electronics school Bob received a FCC First Class Radio Telephone Operators License. Bob’s TV career started in 1972 at WPTZ-TV5 in Plattsburgh as a maintenance and operations engineer.

In 1976 Bob was recruited by the NYS Department of Corrections as Chief Engineer for CSET-TV
Correctional Services Educational Television is a vocational/educational training program for qualified inmates.
Bob was responsible for the training/operation & maintenance of CSET-TV's studio.

In 1980 Bob joined WTEN as a videographer/editor for PM Magazine,
the first nationally syndicated magazine format TV show.

Bob's first overseas assignment with PM Magazine took him to the Artic Circle in Greenland
with New York's 109th Air Guard

For 20 years Bob worked at WTEN as a photojournalist, field producer, ENG and Satellite truck operator.
