Uncovering America's Forgotten Colony:
The New Netherland Project
Shenise Productions, LLC in association with Mogul One Productions completes the documentary The New Netherland Project. The story of the Dutch colonies in Fort Orange and New Amsterdam is one of history’s best kept secrets. While the New Netherland Project has uncovered the truth about these early Dutch and how they introduced the original “melting pot” of different cultures to the Hudson Valley, very few people actually know the story of the Dutch in America. “Uncovering America’s Forgotten Colony” tells the tale of the New Netherland Project and the early Dutch settlements of Fort Orange (Albany) and New Amsterdam (NYC). Knowledge of our past is an important element of guiding our future.
